I am just returning from a long weekend in NYC. It felt so good to be back in the city. I loved visiting all my old haunts. My first job in fashion (Kate Spade), old apartment, and all our favorite restaurants. We squeezed it all into 3 days and made time to see friends. The city is back and thriving. We stayed at The Bowery Hotel which is in a great location. Friday we started the day with breakfast at Sadelle’s then it was lunch at Katz’s, dinner at Balthazar, and late night pizza at Rubirosa. On Saturday it was lunch at Pastis, Chai Latte at Oslo Coffee in Greenwich Village, amazing pastries at Supermoon Bake House, and dinner at Il Buco. The trip wasn’t complete without Dim Sun at Golden Unicorn (will try Nom Wah next time), and a Chai Latte at Kaffe Landskap in Tribeca. No meals were missed on this trip.
Now onto shopping! I was excited to check out the new Sezane store (love this beautiful suede moto jacket), Alex Mill (picked up the Standard Jumpsuit), Hill House Home, Kule (love the Sinclair Cardi in Grey), Kirna Zabete (picked up Veja hightops they saved my feet!), Clic, Ganni (picked up these flare pants), Frankie Shop (had to try on the IG famous quilted coat), and Woolrich (love the Gentry coat). It was so inspiring to watch all the chic street style from uptown to downtown. Some standout trends were faux leather puffer coats (similar to this, this, & this), camel colored midi coats (this, this, & this), Chelsea boots ( this, this, & this), long shackets like (this, this, and this), Prada Lugged Sole loafers, and New Balance 550’s.
It was such a great weekend and I can’t wait to go back!
