Copenhagen fashion week is a GO this week with both live and digital shows. I love the above snap of Danish supermodel Helena Christensen gearing up for Fashion Week. Also captured above are Danish influencers hitting the streets for Fashion Week. Some standout trends are blazers, oversized collars, ATP sandals, denim shorts, and romantic dresses. Some Copenhagen inspired fashion listed below.
Not sure what’s cuter the dress, shoes, or the dog? Helena Christensen is sporting a Sea Paloma patchwork dress, suede Sebegos, and barrettes (similar to above). Comfortable street chic look to take you into the weekend.
While strolling through the Palisades Village this week I spotted the ever so chic Kelly Rutherford making her rounds with shopping bags in tow. I love her classic yet modern style. She was sporting a crisp white Lacoste polo shirt (LOVE!). I still have several of mine which my daughter has made her own. I prefer a more relaxed fit these days so a new version may be in my future.
The shoes that are getting the most traction in my house are my ever so comfy Birkenstocks. I switch between my shearling clogs and my Arizona sandals. When I was browsing at Goop I came across these dusty rose Boston clogs (more sizing here & here) and Arizona sandals. If you prefer the white ones that Gwyneth Paltrow is wearing below you can find them here. Also new in the Birk world are the Birkenstock 1774’s that just launched at Matches Fashion (here). Each pair has a tone on tone sole. If the soft foot bed is your thing Nordstrom has several fun colors here.
For the last year the blazer has been a big trend oversized and double breasted. This signature basic is getting a bit shorter and tailored (like the Other Stories & Rachel Comey I posted last week) and resembling the beloved Chanel classic. Here are some options that fit the bill.
NYFW is in full swing and I love scoping out all the chic street style. We are seeing vintage inspired denim with a flared leg and chambray shirts. Statement coats, blazers, and sleek trenches are front and center along with monochromatic dressing with denim and winter whites. To get some of the chic looks check out my picks below.
There’s a HOT new bag that’s being spotted all over Copenhagen Fashion week and it’s a bit more affordable then the ever so popular Bottega Padded Cassette Bag (that’s also in the spotlight). Meet Coach’s Field Tote (above pic)! This carriage print bag with varsity stripes is lightweight and can be worn handheld or crossbody.
I love Megan Markle’s eco friendly cost conscious Everlane Jumpsuit, $120 she was wearing on her South African tour. She paired it with black Manolo pumps and beautiful gold earrings. Simple yet elegant! Also in the spotlight is her Madewell denim jacket and canvas tote she wore to greet locals at Monwabisi Beach. Looking forward to more affordable fashion as her tour continues.
