After scrolling through all the street style photos from NYFW one trend that stood out to me was the different variations of midi skirts being worn with high boots (also like these & these). I saw paneled leather midi skirts (also like this faux one from J. Crew last pic), denim skirts (2nd pic), and pleated leather skirts (look for less here). Charlotte Groeneveld is styling her Alturzura denim midi with a camel sweater and Khaite Mini Lotus tote. Perfection!

A friend of mine was wearing the cutest pair of wide leg chinos the other night and of course I asked where they were from. Turns out they were Banana Republic, so I headed over there yesterday to try them on along with the above leather skirt (runs big size down LOVE!), boxy cropped shirt (above pic size down), fringed cotton cardigan (selling out fast), silk shirt (good for work or evenings out), suede boots ( Saint Laurent Wyatt look for less), and cotton sweater. Midi Madness

I started off the week at the Hollywood Bowl and ended the week at the Santa Barbara Bowl. Both great venues to see concerts. When I was in Santa Barbara we had lunch at Alessia Patisserie (so charming) and dinner at Bettina. We had just enough time before dinner to browse all the shops at the Montecito Mart. I went into the new Doen store and found two beautiful tops, the Vanessa Top and the Jules top (love the mahogany color way) and way eying this cardigan. I also spent a bit of time in Clic (such a great store), Kule, Cynthia Benjamin, and Jake & Jones (really unique selection of designers).

This coming season we will be seeing a lot of leather and faux leather midi skirts like Lisa Aiken is modeling above. I love the look, sharing some options below.
