Ingredients
- 1 package large Nasoya wonton wrappers (4-5 inches)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 onion diced super fine
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/8 cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon cumin
- 1/8 teaspoon allspice
- day of cayenne
- 1 teaspoon lemon
- salt to taste
- 1/4 cup olive for brushing wrappers
Directions
- Sauté meat and onion with olive oil.
- Add your cinnamon, cumin, all spice, cayenne, lemon, and salt to your meat mixture.
- Add about 2 tablespoons of filling on the wrapper and roll it up like a cigar or any shape you would like.
- Lay the cigar seam side down, and brush with olive oil.
- Bake for 15-20 mins on 375° F. until golden brown.
Last night I made these for dinner along with a vegetarian version. I sautéed onion, spinach, mushrooms, and feta and rolled them up. Another great option.

Work-it!
A friend of mine was asking me for at home work attire recommendations. She was looking for gold hoops, muscle tee’s, and comfy pants. Here is what I suggested.
I wanted to give you an update on the LoveShackFancy x Target collaboration. I got the Cosette Smocked Dress and love it! The quality is so nice for the price. I know inventory is low but I would keep checking because there may be returns. I also bought the Lisa Marie Fernandez Ric Rack Dress. The fit was cute but the fabric was too heavy for Summer so I returned it.

Mes Filles
Several months ago I was grocery shopping and spotted a woman in a beautiful colorful dress. I approached her and asked her where she got it and she said “I design them.” Voila..that’s how I discovered Mes Filles.
Local designer Cristen Kauffman designs and manufactures her Sadie dress right here in Los Angeles. Her goal with Mes Filles is to celebrate the uniqueness of each and every woman. I love the simple silhouette and the beautiful prints she uses. I’m wearing the Zippy in the above picture; it’s one of my most comfortable dresses I have in my closet. A portion of Mes Filles proceeds goes to Africa Schoolhouse, No Kid Hungry, Laura’s House, and Minnesota Freedom Fund. All charities that support women and children in need.

Flower Power
Beauty update! I wanted to give you an update on several new products that I started using and really like. I was looking for a new face wash and bought the Ursa Major set consisting of face balm, tonic, and face wash (all clean beauty products at a great price point). I just ordered Suntegrity Sunscreen, a friend recommended I try it she loves it! Will keep you posted.

Sweet Potato Chips

Ingredients
- 2 medium sized sweet potatos
- 4 tablespoons olive oil
- salt to taste
Directions
- Line a 1/2 sheet tray with all natural parchment paper.
- Cut your sweet potatoes on a mandolin about 1/8-1/4 inch thick.
- Place your sweet potatoes on the sheet tray and toss with olive oil making sure to evenly coat.
- Place in the oven and bake at 300°F for about 2 hours. *All ovens are different so I recommend checking them at 45 mins. If the chips are getting too brown then reduce temperature in the oven.
- Turn each chip half way into baking.
- Take them out of the oven when crisp but not too brown and sprinkle with salt.
Tahini Slaw
Last night’s dinner consisted of Shawarma Chicken, Roasted Carrots, and this amazing Tahini Slaw that my daughter Zoe made.

Ingredients
- 1 medium sized purple cabbage thinly sliced
- 1 bunch of curly purple kale (or any kale) chopped
- 1/4 cup tahini
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 lemon juiced
- 1 garlic clove *ground on Microplane
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- pepper to taste
- 1 1/2 teaspoon soy sauce
Directions
- Place your thinly sliced cabbage and chopped kale in a medium sized bowl.
- In a glass measuring cup mix your tahini, water, lemon, garlic, salt, pepper, and soy sauce. Depending on how think your tahini is you might need to add more water.
- Whisk together until completely combined.
- Pour your dressing over your slaw and toss to combine.
- Let it rest for about 15-20 mins before serving.
