Summer Orzo Salad

Ingredients
- 1 pound orzo
- 1 cup fresh mozzarella chopped
- 1/3 cup fresh basil chopped
- 1 cup halved cherry tomatos
Dressing
- 1/3 cup olive oil
- 2-3 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 small garlic clove (minced) on the microplane grader
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
Directions
- Boil your orzo in a medium stock pot according to the directions. Once it’s done drain and rinse.
- Place your orzo in a medium size bowl and allow it to cool.
- Add your tomatoes, basil, and fresh mozzarella in the medium sized bowl with your orzo.
- In a small liquid measuring bowl, whisk your olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, salt, and pepper until emulsified.
- Pour your dressing over your orzo and toss to coat. You can serve immediately or store in the fridge until ready. Taste before serving to see if it needs any additional salt.
Normal People
There were so many things I loved about Normal People (Hulu), but one thing that stood out was the beautiful elegance and style Marianne (played by Daisy Edgar-Jones) portrayed throughout the whole series. Marianne’s sophisticated refined wardrobe complimented her beautiful hair and make-up. I’ve selected some similar pieces inspired by her wardrobe below.

A blue and white stripe shirt never gets old. Especially when Clare Vivier’s muse (and niece) Frannie Gilligan is sporting an oversized drop shoulder version. She’s accessorizing it with a blood orange Emma Bag, shell bracelet (look for less here), turquoise bracelet, pearl necklace (also like this one), and Sophie Monet wood charm necklace. Asian Noodles
This is a really easy recipe that can be served warm or cold. I will be making them tonight with grilled salmon. You can make extra sauce and use it as a marinade for your salmon.
Simple Asian Noodles

Ingredients
- 2 carrots thinly sliced (see above pic)
- 1-2 scallions thinly sliced (optional)
- 1 tablespoon ginger minced
- 1 large garlic clove minced
- 1 package of noodles *I like using udon noodles but any will work
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 3/4 cup frozen peas
Sauce
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon of sugar *optional
- 2 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon chili paste
Directions
- Mix the soy sauce, rice vinegar, sugar, sesame oil, sugar, chili paste in a small bowl. Set aside.
- Bring 4 quarts of water to a boil with 1 teaspoon of salt in a pot. Add the noodles and cook according to the package directions. About two minutes before the noodles are done add your carrots to the pot. Once the noodles and carrots are done drain and rinse with cold water.
- Sauté your ginger and garlic with 2 tablespoons of oil on a medium skillet. When the garlic and ginger are fragrant (about 30 seconds) add your peas and scallions. Continue to sauté for about 3-5 mins mins.
- Place your noodles and carrots in a medium sized bowl. Add your sautéed vegetables, and pour the sauce over the noodles. Toss to coat.
- Enjoy!
Monday Mood
Hope everyone had a great weekend. I spent the weekend binge watching Normal People (loved Marianne’s chic & elegant style), bike riding, doing yoga, making pizza, and jump starting my new skin regimen (with this, this, this, this, and this). It’s hard to believe next weekend is Memorial Day and the start of Summer. It won’t be a traditional Memorial Day weekend but we’ll still make the most of it.
Today I’m sharing what’s been in my shopping cart along with some weekend finds while browsing. I bought this cute eyelet tiered mini on sale at Shopbop. I’ve been living in my Fiore mini (runs big also like the maxi), and can’t wait for my Shop Mille dress to arrive. I took advantage of J. Crew’s swim sale which will be arriving this week, and found Marysia on sale here, here, & here. I spotted these comfortable Bottega look for less sandals, along with Dr Scholl’s original clogs (& these Marni ones). Now onto home, I updated our pool hammocks, found these chic ping pong paddles from the Jennifer Fisher x CB2 collab, and trying to decide on Adirondack chairs for our front patio. Let’s Face It
I’ve been holding off on doing a face mask post in the hopes that this would not have to be a necessary accessory. Let’s Face It, it looks like we’re going to have to get comfortable with this new accessory as it’s required for all Angelenos starting today. I prefer a proper face mask for running errands, and a bandana for long walks and workouts. I find it easier to slide the bandana up and down my face while exercising. Some fun picks below.

Ivy’s Granola

Ingredients
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1/3 cup sliced almonds
- 1/2 cup shredded coconut
- 1/4 cup ground flaxseed
- 2 tbsp chia seeds
- Pinch salt
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- 3 tbsp maple syrup
- 2 tbsp almond butter
- 2 tbsp coconut oil
- 1/4 tsp vanilla
Directions
- Preheat your oven to 350 °F.
- Spread out your oats and almonds on a sheet tray and toast them in your oven for 10 minutes.
- In a large bowl, mix together your coconut, flax, chia seeds, salt, and cinnamon.
- In a small saucepan, heat your maple syrup, almond butter, coconut oil, and vanilla over medium heat. Constantly stir until all ingredients are melted together.
- Let the mixture come to a boil, and then remove from the heat.
- Add your toasted oats and almonds to your large bowl and stir everything together.
- Cool down your oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Pour in your maple syrup mix and mix until all ingredients are combined.
- Line a sheet tray with parchment paper or a silicone mat and spread your granola out on the tray.
- Use a spatula to press down the granola and pack it together. This will help form clusters after baking.
- Bake your granola for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and crisp on the edges.
- Let the granola cool completely, and then break it up into clusters using your hands or a spatula.
- Store in an airtight container, and enjoy!
